 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO WMU FLIGHT RELEASE  USERS:

Effective 1 Oct 2009, National Headquarters requires that all Flight Releases be recorded in WMIRS. We have been working with the NHQ to insure that WMU users are able to continue to use the WMU toolset for handling sorties. The has been done, and the WMU can continue to be used by wings to manage their sorties and flight information. The overall look and feel of the modules remains the same. It is not necessary for pilots or FROs to input sorties into WMIRS (this is done automatically by the WMU), and FRO's will use screens generated by the WMU to interact with WMIRS to record the flight release.
