Civil Air Patrol Wing Management Utilities

CAP Seal

Welcome to the Civil Air Patrol Wing Management Utilities Home Page. The Wing Management Utilities (WMU) represent a set of forms and utilities to assist in the automation of tasks associated with CAP Operations and Emergency Services.

There are two general categories of the utilities available for your use. These are the Web WMU and the Stand-Alone IMU. The IMU can be downloaded from the WMU downloads page.
Web WMU IMU3
The Web WMU provides CAP members with a tool to maintain information required for CAP operational missions. It is an on-line tool intended to provide individual members with the ability to examine and update personal and pilot information not available in e-Services.. The WMU flight release functions support upload to WMIRS.

The WMU security certificate is not currently accepted as a default on many browsers. You can download and install the certificate onto your machine by downloading and running the zip file here.
The IMU3 is now being used. Click on the link above to view the documentation and get the link to download the IMU application..

NOTE: The IMU3 supports support WMIRS and uses an IMU3 Internet Explorer to access WMIRS. This allows full data transfers of sortie information between the 2 systems. All flight releases are performed through WMIRS using this feature and allows the IMU3 to be fully compatible with WMIRS requirements.

The Web WMU requires a connection to the internet using the Microsoft Internet Explorer or Firefox web browser.

Much of the information used in the WMU is derived from the NHQ databases. This information is generally synchronized once daily.

National Headquarters has indicated that the WMU flight release mechanism is usable  to release flights using WMIRS. The WMU will open a web page to WMIRS to actually record the release when the FRO is using the WMU to release the sortie. The IMU3 will function in a like manner.

The IMU3 runs on a computer that is running Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.  Multiple computers can be networked to support the requirements of a wide variety of missions.

Web based interactive training for the IMU is now available to groups on request. Refer to http://pandersys.com

Instructions for installing a Host for the IMU VIrtual Server Mode on a Windows based server can be found here.

A stand-alone Photo Documenter is available to pre-process photographs in conjuction with the IMU sortie debrief photo processor. It can be downloaded here.
